Presenting the Smartphone of the Future - Well, of 2012 Anyway | JustCall (UK)

As we near the end of 2011, it's easy to think about what the future will have in store for you. But for some people, the end of one year and the start of another can only mean one thing: the latest arrival in the smartphone market. And 2012 will probably be no different.

While 2011 has been hailed as the year that smartphones got dual-core technology, 2012 is redirected to bring quad-core processors to new smartphones, with some models, such as the Snapdragon CPU promising users speeds of up to 2.5GHz, and advanced technologies for gaming.

Near-Field technology, the technology that allows users to pay by phone in a shop by waving the phone in front of a special payment kiosk, is also predicted to make an appearance on a number of smartphone models in the new year. Thanks to programmes such as Google Wallet making this process easier and more popular, this wireless technology is rumoured to be available on upcoming smartphones, such as the iPhone 5 and the Blackberry Bold 9900, which means that it will become more readily accessible to users, and therefore, more popular.

Phone displays are also getting more sophisticated, with some phones, such as the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and the HTC Rezound, among some of the first smartphones to have 720p displays, which is set to become standard in all smartphones next year. Other notable trends include LTE technology, which offers fast speeds over 3G networks, voice control, and even better, more cheaper smartphones.

However, we can only make educated guesses on what 2012 will bring the telecommunications industry, but one thing's for sure; JustCall continue to bring you cheap mobile calls from, however modern or archaic it may be.
